This year's event will include the fifth annual running of the Blue Ash Airport Days 5k Fun Run/Fitness Walk. This run/fitness walk will be the official kickoff for a fun-filled weekend that the whole family can enjoy. This is the only 5K race in the country featuring a thrilling aerial start! We start the race with an airplane flying over the starting line, WOW! The "smoke on" start, free ticket to the airshow and the pancake breakfast are unique to our race. Come and check it out.......

We are back to a SATURDAY run.....

START TIME

Runners begin at 8:00 AM; fitness walkers at 8:01 AM.

DISTANCE

5000 Meters (3.1 miles). The event is sanctioned by USA Track & Field.

The new course certified course ( #OH 08047PR ) will start @ the Wingate Inn and go west on Glendale Milford Rd -- then left on Plainfield through the rolling hills behind the airport and the then turn left on Cooper Rd -- through the peaceful scenery to left on Reed Hartman Highway and then left onto Glendale Milford Rd and finish with a quick straighaway and enter the airport at Exec Aviation.

BENEFICIARIES

The event supports both Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Heart Center and Cincinnati Warbirds, a non-profit club dedicated to the preservation of historic aircraft.

PACKET PICK UP & LATE REGISTRATION

Packet pickup is scheduled for September 12 at the new Running Spot store in Glendale -267E. Sharon Rd from 10:00am - 7:00pm. Late registration is available at the store too -- only $25. Race Day registration begins at 6:55 at the Wingate Inn across from the airport -- $25

AWARDS

Top overall male and female finishers will each receive an airplane ride or helicopter ride at Airport Days on Sunday. Additionally, the top 3 male/female runners and the top male/female walker in each age division will receive a special award. To qualify for walking awards, participant MUST WALK the entire race.

Runners :

Under 15, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+

Walkers :

19 and under, 20-30,30-39,40-49,50-59 and 60 and over

Win an airplane ride or helicopter ride !

PANCAKE BREAKFAST

Registrants receive a free ticket to the pancake breakfast following the 5k. (Includes sausage, bananas, juice and coffee.) Additional tickets - $5. All proceeds benefit Cincinnati Warbirds.
