You won't want to miss this new and improved race. The new, more scenic course is now certified.

This year's event will include the 8th. annual running of the Blue Ash Airport Days 5k Fun Run/Fitness Walk. The famous pancake breakfast . Race winners will take a helicopter ride.

The scenic course around the outside of the airport property is mildly hilly and very scenic.

We are back to a SATURDAY run.....

START TIME

Runners begin at 8:00 AM; fitness walkers at 8:01 AM.

DISTANCE

5000 Meters (3.1 miles). The event is sanctioned by USA Track & Field.

The new course certified course ( #OH 08047PR ) will start @ the Wingate Inn and go east on Glendale Milford Rd -- then right on Reed Hartman for the fast and straight part of the course. The race will continue with a right turn on Cooper Rd. down a slight hill through a peaceful scenery behind the airport. After a right turn onto Planfield -- the slight uphill grade ends in a right turn onto Glendale Milford Rd and a fast straighaway to the finish line near the Wingate Inn.  The pancake breakfast and award ceremony will be behind the Wingate.  We will feature a cold and hot line for breakfast.

Introducing the new Team Challenge.

We will have a prize for the team with the most runners and  also a prize for the one that raises the most money ( no matter how the they place in the race ).  See the back of your race form for further details. All Team Challenge runners/ walkers must register together to be eligable for the Team Challenge Prize.

PACKET PICK UP & LATE REGISTRATION

Packet pickup is scheduled for September 18 at the new Running Spot store in Glendale -267E. Sharon Rd from 1:00- 7:00pm. Late registration is available at the store too -- only $25. Race Day registration begins at 6:55 at the Wingate Inn across from the airport -- $25

AWARDS

Top overall male and female finishers will each receive an  helicopter ride the day of the race directly across the street @ Blue Ash Airport . Additionally, the top 3 male/female runners and the top male/female walker in each age division will receive a special award. To qualify for walking awards, participant MUST WALK the entire race.

Runners :

Under 15, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+

Walkers :

19 and under, 20-30,30-39,40-49,50-59 and 60 and over

Win a  helicopter ride  right after the race !

PANCAKE BREAKFAST

Registrants receive a free ticket to the pancake breakfast following the 5k. (Includes  pancakes, sausage, bananas, juice and coffee.)

A cold line is also available.

Although the airshow has been cancelled this year -- the race will  continue  with the Wingate INN being the base of operations. The same really great course through scenic Blue Ash.
